Spark Matric - Curriculum

While the philosophy at Spark is one, like two eyes focusing on a single object,
we have the curriculum earmarked for CBSE, as per the guidelines of NCERT, New Delhi.

FORMATIVE STAGE (LKG & UKG)

The first five years of a child are the foundation that shapes children’s future health, happiness, growth, development and learning achievement at school, in the family and community and life in general.

At Spark our methods are equally profound, yet simple. The love and caring of a doting mother, along with the freedom for kids to chase their curiosities and wonders. Anecdotal learning or listening to stories with morals, engaging toddlers through visual learning on the smartboard are encouraged. Rhymes, music, poetry, song and dance begin.

Exceptionally talented and gifted teachers perform this vital function

PRIMARY STAGES (CLASSES 1 TO 5)

The word primary means of utmost importance and not as is translated into beginning in vernacular. The primary school is so named because of its prime importance. Math principles are invariably learnt at this stage if missed out can be a struggle later on.

Handwriting is usually developed in the later part of the formative, and the early part of primary education.

Learning is by perception as well as by precept.

Highly committed, dedicated, qualified and versatile teachers are engaged to build this foundation.

SECONDARY STAGES (CLASSES 6 TO 10)

As the name suggests, once the foundation is built the secondary education is the platform for learning by experience and perception. Each Student’s perception is observed and a unique experience results both for the learner and the learned. For this purpose a team of learned professionals, patient and willing to constantly experiment with new and novel ideas are employed. The second foundation of physical and scientific principles are built at this stage. Most learning is empirical and a student who learns by precept and practice will never forget, for example, Newton’s Second law in his life.

HIGHER SECONDARY (CLASSES 11 AND 12)

Drill and practice are the order of the day and the student is encouraged to be a part of this competitive world, without being stressed. Speed, Skill, Stamina, Endurance, Time management and discretion, or the ability to make a choice are imparted at this stage of education. The fundamental nature that every subject is open for further exploration is inculcated for a smooth transition to collegiate education.
